Storyline

 

By an act of fate, 12-year old Pelle Nøhrmann is bitten by an ant, and discovers that he has gained its strength and abilities. With help from his only friend, the comic book nerd Wilhelm, Pelle develops a secret identity: the superhero Antboy. But Pelle soon discovers he’s not the only one in town with superpowers. An insidious opponent by the name of The Flea emerges on the scene. Can a pint-sized superhero really take on a true supervillain? 

Plot

 

Notes 

1) Based on the popular children's book by Danish author Kenneth Bøgh Andersen, this superhero story soars on every level, with a young cast who injects energy and fun into every action-packed scene. 

2) After being premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, the film has been shown at numerous film festivals, including London Film Festival and Tallin Black Nights Film Festival. 

3) After its release in October 2013 in Denmark, the film has kept the No.3 spot for three continuous weeks. The film is to be released in theaters in the US and Germany in 2014.
