Storyline

Once there was a young comedian who dashed through the times like the wind.

Often cited as either a genius or a rebel, Eitoku Kawamoto the founder of “Bay Blues” closed his life at the young age of 25. What kind of a life did he lead? What did he strive for? What was the humor that he wanted to express? Written by his comedy partner Tomohiro Takayama and published exactly 15 years after the day of his death, the impact of this autobiography was so huge that it has now become a bible among those who strive to pursue a career in comedy.

“Bay Blues - 25 years and 364 days - (tentative title)” is a film that faithfully depicts the short but turbulent life that Eitoku lived.

This is a sincere story of friendship and rebirth -- an opportunity for Japanese people to reflect on what comedy is all about.
