Storyline
What!? The lowest standing baseball team’s high-profile recruitment is a gorilla!
Lowest in league standings last season, the Bears make their biggest gamble ever entrusting their hopes of reviving the team with the high-profile rookie scouted by a sports agent. He’s Mr. Go, a gorilla recruited from a circus suffering financial difficulties. “A gorilla player? Absurd!” After the public whoopla, it’s Go’s first turn at the plate. His powerful hit goes beyond the fence, shattering the back screen. His fame grows abroad, leading to Japanese baseball clubs competing to sign him. But before the deciding match against a rival gorilla pitcher ZEROS, Go’s knees give out. Bottom of the 9th, bases full with two outs. Will he be able to bat? Can the Bears remove the stigma as the eternal tailender?
