Summary

Every year, dairy farmers get ready to compete in a cow contest called "Kyoshinkai" (prize show), which decides the No. 1 cattleman. The dairy farmer Kaneko, who is recovering from a divorce, will lose his beloved daughter if he can't produce results in Kyoshinkai, which is the next day.
However, due to some circumstance, the cow that he has carefully raised sustains an injury and becomes unable to participate. Driven to the edge of desperation, Kaneko decides to steal "Jennifer," a cow that his late father had raised that is now kept in the neighboring town. An intense battle will be waged around cows in the passionate cattleman's town of Kenebetsu, in which Japan's most lively Kyoshinkai is held.

About Nakashibetsu-cho

Nakashibetsu-cho is a town in Shibetsu, which is located in the central portion of the jurisdiction of Nemuro, Hokkaido. It has a population of 24,262 people and is prosperous in dairy farming and commerce. Kenebetsu, the setting for the movie, is an area under the jurisdiction of JA-Kenebetsu, and dairy farming is at its core.
It spreads into both Nakashibetsu-cho and Betsukai-cho. To its north is Uramashu, famous to the world for its natural beauty, and it is near Yoroushi Onsen (hot springs), well-known as an enchanted land in the interior of Nemuro. The Chinese character for "cow," drawn in immense size on Mount Moan, has become a symbol for the area.
