Summary

Ueno, a newly hired writer working at a publishing company in Tokyo, is given an assignment to write a feature on Okinawa for a travel magazine. Her disagreeable boss finds fault with her plans and she is told that she will be moved to another department. As her last chance, she goes to Okinawa to conduct just one day of coverage.
Without a definite aim, and after losing her bag and becoming penniless, Ueno is taken to a town called Koza by a taxi that is passing by. There, she is made fun of by the townspeople. Will she be able to conduct her coverage without problems? Will her life change in a trip of just one day? This is a comedy piece interspersed with the charm and humanity of Okinawa.

About Okinawa

Known as a city of international culture and tourism, as well a town of Eisa dancing and music, Okinawa has a great number of events such as Okinawa Zento Eisa Matsuri and the Peaceful Love Rock Festival. It took on the name of Okinawa City in 1974, but even now, many people are used to calling it by its former name of "Koza."
In the center of Koza is Koza Gate Street, which runs from the exit and entrance of Kadena Air Base to Goya Intersection. Koza has a unique atmosphere, almost like being overseas, with elements such as neon signs with English letters and dollar signs. Fully experience the charm of Koza, with its blend of various cultures.
