6th Okinawa International Movie Festival

The Okinawa International Movie Festival is now in its 6^th year, so we’d like to cheers up the residents in Okinawa and send out Okinawa’s charm to the whole country and the world in more various ways.

It has been decided to put count down boards at 12 places including Chatan Town, Ginowan City and Naha City (including stations on Yui Rail), and we announce an unveiling ceremony of the boards at 3 places on 29^th January 2014.

The Details of the Ceremony

Date: 29^th January 2014 

I.               Chatan Town

Time: 1 to 1:30 pm

Venue: Carnival Park Mihama (Mihama 15-69, Chatan Town)

Emcee: Garage Sale

Attendees: Masaharu Noguni (Town Mayor of Chatan), Toru Motoda (President of the Chatan Tourism Association), Yoshiaki Komesu (President of Chatan Chamber of Commerce) and Hiroshi Osaki (The Chairman of Okinawa International Movie Festival Executive Committee)

Guest Performer: Dance team “Churros”

II.             Ginowan City

Time: 3 to 3:30 pm

Venue: The outside parking area of Haninsu ginowan, Ginowan city (Oyama 7-6-1, Ginowan City)

Emcee: Garage Sale

Attendees: Atsushi Sakima (The Mayor of Ginowan City), Yoshiyuki Takaesu (President of the Ginowan Tourism Promotion Association) and Hiroshi Osaki (The Chairman of Okinawa International Movie Festival Executive Committee)

III.           Naha City

Time: 5 to 5:30 pm

Venue: The event space of Palette Kumoji, Naha city (Kumoji1-1-1, Naha City)

Emcee: Garage Sale

Attendees: Takeshi Onaga (The Mayor of Naha City), Emi Iha and Yuko Sakuda (Naha City Campaign Ladies) and Hiroshi Osaki (The Chairman of Okinawa International Movie Festival Executive Committee)

After the ceremony at Naha City, there will be a performance by Naha Jazz at the event space of Pallet Kumoji.
