I offer my heartfelt congratulations on the holding of the 6th OIMF. The theme of the movie festival, held by YOSHIMOTO KOGYO, which has a long tradition and is Japan’s largest entertainment company, is “Laugh & Peace”. For that reason, in spots around Okinawa during the holding of the festival, many projects are planned in which general spectators can participate and guests making appearances can also enjoy themselves. OIMF and the Busan International Film Festival have maintained a special cooperative relationship from the very first time they were held. This is something we have been able to realize precisely because
both movie festivals have been able to share a vision for the future. I hope that the 6th OIMF will be successfully held, and that laughs and peace will be conveyed to everyone who has come to visit Okinawa.
