Mana Ashida garnered much national acclaim for her charming smile and captivating performances. In her first ever leading role, she plays the eccentric Kokko, who, while charming is a tough, energetic third grader who often speaks her mind in brash Kansai dialect. Director Isao Yukisada is known for big hits, such as “Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World”. Although this is their first collaboration, Isao is cleverly able to bring out a side of Mana that has never been seen before. The film is based on the work of popular author Kanako Nishi, well-known for “Cherry Blossom” and “Yellow Elephant”. This story is for all you adults looking to find that special thing that you’ve lost.
