“Fuku-chan” is a caring, maybe meddlesome, resident of the rundown apartment Fukufukuso. He’s a hard worker with a mean punch with only one weakness: his naivety with women. One day, he meets a beautiful woman who was his first love back in junior high school. A new hero(?) that may surpass Tora-san is born in this hilarious 2014 human comedy! Playing Fuku-chan is Miyuki Oshima from comedy trio, Morisanchu. Well-known from variety shows and as the 24-hour TV special marathon runner, this is her first movie title role, although as a middle-aged man. The unique cast includes Asami Mizukawa as Fuku-chan’s first love, Chiho, and Yoshiyoshi Arakawa as Fuku-chan’s friend, Shimacchi. Known for “Zenzen Daijobu(2008),” the director is rising Yosuke Fujita, popular in Japan and abroad for his originality and unique characterization. His popularity is proven by the fact that film distribution was already decided abroad before production in countries such as Germany, UK, Italy and Taiwan.
