6th Okinawa International Movie Festival

Thank you very much for your attendance today. This movie festival is now in its 6th year. Up until today, I have met an enormous number of you, and have received your cooperation. The more that this experience continues, the broader and firmer the circle of participants becomes, bringing with it plenty of fun and smiles. With the desire to support the discovery and development of as many people as possible that can take their place in the movie culture in the future, the Creators Factory Category was launched last year, and in the JIMOT CM COMPETITION, which introduces the charms of local regions, many more entries were received than last year, marking the taking root of this competition throughout Okinawa. Also, in addition to the red carpet at Ginowan, this year we will also be holding a wonderful and exciting “Naha Red Carpet” event on the streets of Kokusai Street, with the full support of the city of Naha. It is our hope that going forward we can continue to work hand in hand with the people of Okinawa, in all regions, as we take the next steps with the catch phrase of “All Things Great in All the Islands”.
We will not stop hoping that this Movie Festival will grow into the world’s largest and best such festival, with the strongest content, and a festival which will be a gathering place for people around the nation and the world.
